Small Industries to Be Ggranted Credits for Promotion of Quality

MASHHAD, Khorasan Provincce Deputy Industries and Mines Minister Sharif Alnesbi said Wednesday the ministry is to grant special redits to small businesses and industrial units to help them promote the quality of their products. Speaking in a meeting attended by managers of the small industries, he said the government credits and support are intended to help these industries make the optimal use of the available resources and prop up the productivity. He said the ministry would also provide assistance and support for those industrial units which are after developing the exports or are increasing efforts in this connection. As for Iran's adherence to the World Trade Organization (WTO) he said the government is determined to accede to the WTO adding that Iran's adherence to the key organization would clear the way for the national industries to try to manufacture the competitive products. This, he said, would help promote the quality of goods. The small industries constitute some 80 percent of the ountry's industrial units while it has created 50 percent of jobs in the industrial sector. He stressed the formation of the industrial syndicates to reignite the industrial growth.
